Stoked Old Home and Barn LLC ("Stoked," "we," "us") is a construction company in Bozeman, Montana. We do new construction, remodels, renovations, restorations, repairs, custom carpentry and woodworking, and barn removal, reclamation and renovation.

This policy explains what information we collect when you visit stokedoldhomeandbarn.com, contact us, or hire us, and what we do with it. It also covers information you send us through our Facebook, Instagram and Google pages. Those platforms have their own privacy policies for everything else that happens on them.

Information we collect

What you give us. When you call, email, message us on Facebook or Instagram, fill out a form on our website or in one of our ads, or hire us, we collect what you share. That usually includes:

  • Your name, phone number and email address

  • The address of the property and details about your project, including photos you send

  • Times that work for an estimate visit

  • If we take on your project: your contract, change orders, invoices and payment records

What we collect at your property. During estimate visits and while we work, we take notes, measurements and photos of the property and the work for our records.

What's collected automatically on our website. Our website runs on Squarespace. When you visit, Squarespace and the tools described under "Cookies, analytics and advertising" collect standard information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the site that sent you here and your approximate location.

How we use your information

We use it to run our business and do good work for you:

  • Answer your questions, schedule estimate visits and prepare estimates

  • Plan and do the work: contracts, scheduling, ordering materials, coordinating subcontractors, and getting permits and inspections

  • Send invoices, keep payment records and handle warranty questions

  • Keep the business records we need for taxes and accounting

  • Follow up after a job, for example to ask how it went or whether you'd leave a review

  • See how people find our website and how well our ads work, and show our ads to people who may need our services

  • Comply with the law and protect our rights and yours

We may share photos of our finished work on our website and social media. We leave out anything that identifies you, like your name or house number, and we'll take a photo down if you ask.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We use them to run the site, understand how it's used and measure our ads.

Website cookies. Squarespace sets cookies that make the site work and that power its built-in visitor statistics, such as how many people visit and which pages they view. See Squarespace's cookie policy for details.

Advertising. We advertise on Facebook, Instagram, Google and YouTube. To measure our ads and show them to people who have visited our site, we may use tools from those companies on our website, such as the Meta Pixel and Google tags.

  • These tools let third parties, including Meta and Google, use cookies, pixels, web beacons and similar technologies to collect or receive information from our website and elsewhere on the internet.

  • Meta, Google and other third-party vendors use that information to measure ads and to show ads based on your past visits to our website or other websites.

  • Google and other vendors may show our ads on other sites across the internet.

How to opt out of ad targeting. You can turn off personalized ads or limit how this information is used:

Opting out doesn't stop ads. You'll still see ads, but they won't be based on your browsing. Blocking all cookies may keep parts of our website from working.

How we share your information

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't rent or trade customer lists. We share it only when we need to:

  • Service providers that help us run the business, such as our website host, email and calendar, document and AI assistant tools, our bank and our accountant. They may use it only to provide their services to us.

  • Subcontractors and suppliers working on your project, who get what they need for the job, such as your name, address and phone number.

  • Building departments, inspectors and utilities, when your project needs permits, inspections or service connections.

  • Advertising partners, as described under "Cookies, analytics and advertising."

  • When the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.

  • If the business is sold or changes ownership, with the new owner, who must follow this policy for the information we pass on.

Your choices and requests

You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we have about you and send you a copy

  • Correct anything that's wrong

  • Delete your information

  • Stop following up with you

  • Stop using your information for targeted advertising (see the opt-out links above for the ad platforms)

To make a request, email or call us using the details under "Contact us." We may ask a few questions to confirm it's really you. We'll respond within 45 days.

We may need to keep some records even after you ask us to delete them, such as contracts, invoices, permit documents and warranty records, when the law or our obligations to you require it. We'll tell you if that applies. If we can't do what you asked, you can reply and ask us to take another look.

Keeping and protecting your information

How long we keep it. We keep project records for as long as we need them for warranty questions, taxes and legal requirements. We delete inquiries that don't turn into a project once we no longer need them.

How we protect it. Only the people who need your information to do their work can see it, and we use established services with built-in security. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee that information will never be accessed without permission.

Children. Our website and services are for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Other websites. Our site links to Facebook, Instagram, Google and other sites. Their own privacy policies apply when you use them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our business or the law changes. We'll post the new version here and change the "Last updated" date at the top. If we make a significant change in how we use your information, we'll also post a notice on our website.
